1. How does Octilla work?
Octilla recognizes your number when you call. In a one-time set-up, you are required to register a main number where you will usually call from. When you call any of our local numbers or 800-OCTILLA again from that number, Octilla will recognize your number and allow you to begin calling. You no longer need a pin to identify you before you can make your calls. For extra flexibility, Octilla allows you to register 4 additional numbers aside from your main (primary registered) number. You can register your home, cell phone and office line or share your account with a friend or family member.

2. Does Octilla work on any long distance or local phone carrier?
Yes. Octilla works on ALL long distance and local phone carriers.

3.Does Octilla work on any wireless plan?
Yes. Octilla works on ALL wireless plans.

4. What is a primary registered number?
A primary registered number is any one number (office, mobile, etc.) that you choose to be your master account number. You can use the primary registered number to make changes to your account; either by calling directly from your primary registered number, or by entering your primary registered number and security code when dialing in from another number.

5. What is a registered number?
After you have registered your primary account number, you can register 4 additional numbers with your Octilla for fast & easy dialing from cell, office and home lines.

6. What can a primary registered number do in an account?
 1 – Add/delete other registered numbers
 2 – Edit security codes for all registered numbers
 3 – Add/delete
 4 – Access Octilla’s website for easy account management @ www.octilla.com

 5 – Turn security dialing on/ off for that account
 6 – Choose the language preference for an account.(Spanish or English)


7. What can non-primary registered numbers do in an account?
 1 – Make calls
 2 – Add money
 3 – Change the security code for that registered number only.


8. Will Octilla always recognize my number when I call?
No. Feature availability is subject to our system recognizing incoming call information as released by your telecommunications provider.

9. Can customers register payphone numbers on Octilla?
No. Payphone carriers block their caller ID information so Octilla will not be able to recognize you when you call.

10. Can I register my friend’s home phone to use Octilla when I am there?
Yes, you can. To protect your account balance, we suggest that you utilize the security dialing feature if you’re registering a phone number that is commonly used by others than yourself.

11. Can registered numbers from the same account make calls at the same time?
Only one number from the same account can make calls at one time.

12. Can I call 900 numbers using Octilla?
No. Octilla cannot be used to place calls to 900 numbers.

13. Can I use Octilla outside the United States?
Yes! Octilla can also be used from Canada, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, Alaska and Hawaii. Note: Surcharges will apply when making calls via 800-OCTILLA.

14. Where can I get a list of calls I make?
Call detail records are available online at www.octilla.com. If you do not have web access, you can request a mailed copy through customer service for a $2.00 charge which will be deducted from your Octilla account. Requests for copies against $0 balances must be pre-paid. Only primary registered numbers have access to call detail records.

15. Will there be payphones surcharges?
FCC regulations require payphone operators to implement a surcharge. Payphone surcharge is $0.75 per call.

16. Why do I need a security code?
Choosing a unique security code prevents unauthorized access to your account. You will be prompted to enter your security code before making calls if you have security dialing turned on.

17. What is security dialing?
This feature will require you to enter your 4 digit security code before you make a call. You can control this feature by turning security dialing on or off. When turned off, you will not be prompted to enter a 4-digit security code before making calls.

18. How many speed dial’s do I have.
Dial up to 9 of your most commonly called international and domestic numbers.

19. How do I manage my additional features on my Octilla account?
Manage your account through our IVR or visit www.octilla.com. Call 800-OCTILLA from your primary registered number and follow the voice prompts. When not calling in from your primary registered number, follow the voice prompts and enter your primary registered number and 4-digit security code. If you are not the primary account holder, you may turn security dialing on or off and change the security code for your registered number only.

20. What are the terms and conditions of Octilla?
Octilla is valid for use with all telecommunication providers and rate plans. Feature availability is subject to our system recognizing incoming call information as released by your telecommunications provider.

Airtime usage is billed in one minute increments and rounded up to the next full minute. See the Octilla rate brochure or visit www.octilla.com for a full listing of rates. Octilla service does not replace your basic local telephone service or wireless plan. Wireless airtime charges from your carrier may apply. A surcharge of 75c applies for calls made to 800-OCTILLA from a payphone. To maintain your account, a $0.99 monthly access fee will be charged to your account one month after first use and every month thereafter. Octilla starter and re-fill cards have no cash value and are non-refundable. Prices and fees for international service are subject to change without notice. All service is subject to the above Terms & Conditions. By using Octilla you agree to, and are bound by, these Terms & Conditions.

Surcharges apply to international calls via 800-OCTILLA:
- Canada: $0.04 per minute
- Puerto Rico: $0.12 per minute
- U.S. Virgin Islands: $0.08 per minute
- Alaska: $0.25 per minute
- Hawaii and 48 continental states: $0.025 per minute

There are NO SURCHARGES for international calls via our local numbers.


21. Does my card have an expiration date?
Yes. Your Octilla card has an expiration date located at the bottom of the card. You must add that re-fill or starter card to your account before the date on the bottom of the card.
